Indulging in Tranquility: A Review of Suenso Spa, Limassol

When most people think of Cyprus, they rightly think of beaches. Limassol, located on the coast of the island, is the second biggest city in Cyprus, and whilst I find the beach to be a fun activity, I prefer to indulge in spa days when in town. In January 2023, I managed to secure a booking for a spa day at the popular Suenso Spa, Platonos 14A, Limassol 3090.

I made the booking via Fresha, a platform similar to Treatwell (if you’re in the UK). Fresha lets you view the venue’s availability in real-time and make instant bookings, which are registered directly with the venue. This saves you a lot of time as you will often find the spa’s telephone line engaged due to their popularity.

Disclaimer: This review was not sponsored in any way – I paid full price for the treatments and the salon was not incentivised in any way by my visit.

Getting to Suenso Spa

Suenso Spa is located in Mesa Geitonia, which is an affluent neighbourhood in Limassol.

It is best to reach the spa by taxi, unless if you’re in the city centre, in which case, expect to walk around 30 minutes or more.

If you’re staying at the Four Seasons, Parklane, or Amara Hotel, you will definitely need a taxi and the journey should take around 25 minutes (if there is no traffic).

The nearest luxury hotel to the spa is Alasia Boutique Hotel, Chaidariou 6, Limassol 3020. Although I have never stayed at Alasia Boutique Hotel, it appears to have good reviews.

My experience at Suenso Spa

I arrived on quite a warm day and was welcomed by a gracious male receptionist who spoke English fluently. The staff are all gentle in their demeanour, which is a welcomed contrast to the otherwise brusque nature of Limassol hospitality (this is somehow only in Limassol, as the hospitality in Larnaca and Nicosia is far more pleasant).

I sat down in the waiting area and was called by the lovely spa therapist to a modestly sized treatment room. We began with ‘deep cleansing for back’ for 1 hour. As the scrub was applied and the body wrap was gently placed around me, I felt myself relaxing into the warm heated spa table. The darkness of the room beckoned me to sleep.

Due to my chatty nature, however, sleep seemed difficult. Instead, I asked the spa therapist about my skin type and what I could do after I left to maintain healthy skin. She assured me that there were products available in the reception from a brand called Thalgo that would help me maintain my clear skin.

The spirulina boost facial itself was very relaxing, and whilst I have stopped requesting extractions since then, I found her approach to extracting around the nose area to be pleasant and not too harsh.

Would I recommend visiting Suenso Spa in Limassol?

I would recommend this place because the staff are knowledgeable and gentle. When I left, I was able to get a dermatologist recommendation on a post-it note, as I wanted to follow up on my beauty regimen by having a medically trained professional examine my skin.

I spent €175 in total for the treatments at Suenso Spa, which I found to be competitively priced compared to other spas in the area.

You can book a treatment via Fresha or contact the spa directly.

You need to book at least a month or two in advance as they are very popular with locals and tourists.
